For the third year in a row Southern Guild brings collectible design to the Joburg ArtFair with a showcase of one-off pieces by up to 40 South African designers. The exhibition includes the most inspiring furniture designers, including long-es­tablished names, the biggest stars in the country and promising up-and coming-talents. It encompasses the most important figures from the worlds of art, architecture, fashion, jewellery, craft and fashion.

This year Southern Guild is honoured to announce its partnership with Arcelor Mittal South Africa, the continents’ premier steel producer. The collection includes some new names, such as fashion designer Stoned Cherrie’s Nkhensani Nkosi, architect Pierre Swanepoel from StudioMas, artists Conrad Botes and Brett Murray. Highlights include John Vogel’s Crop Circle table in jacaranda wood; Gregor Jenkins Engrained, a sculptural plywood cupboard; a new rug collaboration between Paco Pakdoust and Wayne Barker; and a series of ceramic stools and hanging swing by Silvio Rech and Lesley Carstens.

Other designers include Andrea Kleinloog of Anatomy Design, Angus Taylor, Porky Hefer of Animal Farm, Bronze Age, Ceramic Matters, Dahla Hulme, David Manando, Dokter and Misses, Dylan Lewis, Egg, Enoch Ngwenya, Fly-Pitcher, Goet, Greymeta, Guy Du Toit, Haldane Martin, Heath Nash, House On Fire, Imiso, James Mudge, Koop, Laduma Ngxokolo, Life, Lyall Sprong, Marchard Van Tonder, Mud, Nic Blad­en, Nico Masemolo,  Nomili, OKHA, Ongaro, Pederson & Lennard, Phillippe Bousquet, Pierre Cronje, Tonic Design, UB Creative, Wil­lowlamp, and Xandre Kriel.
