Trevor Potter is a technically accomplished artist, adept in almost any medium he works in. A close collaborator with Bronze Age, he manages projects for the studio, produces private commissions, and pursues his own work in bronze sculpture.
Born in Los Angeles, he moved to Cape Town and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Cape Town’s Michaelis School of Fine Art in 2012. Over the following 18 months, he exhibited his work at Holden Manz Gallery in Franschhoek, for which he created scrap metal sculptures consisting of animatronic machines and robotic animals.
He apprenticed to Otto du Plessis at Bronze Age in 2013 and has collaborated with the studio on special commissions ever since. Potter has contributed sculptural work to a number of design projects and developments, including Xigera Safari Lodge in Botswana.
